Trusting in the prompting of the Holy Spirit and believing that our Lord is always calling us to greater things, our Faith Formation program has evolved over the past 3 years to primarily an at-home parent-first catechesis, using Sophia Institute for Teachers curriculum, “A Family of Faith.”
Parents will be well equipped with resources from Sophia Institute for Teachers. Each family will receive a Parent Guide and Activity Book. Bi-monthly Parent Classes on Wednesday evenings will ensure that parents are properly prepared to lead their family’s catechesis. While parent’s attend their classes, children will have grade appropriate classes to supplement (not replace) what will be taught at home.
Parents should make sure that they have joined the appropriate Flocknote group to receive reminders and other communication about classes.

Why at-home parent-first catechesis?
Who is your children’s first teacher? Who is your children’s most important teacher? You are! Despite what our culture often tried to tell us, being a teacher does NOT require any special skills or certifications for parents. We are always teaching our children! We are teaching them even when we are not trying.
Teaching is what we do naturally, just as learning from parents is what children do naturally. Especially in the young years, before peer groups become more influential, parental guidance is far and away the most important factor in who a child grows up to be. And even once kids enter their teen years, parents continue to have more influence than they may think.
